Indical Bioscience partners with Evonik
Indian Biological Sciences partnered with Evonik To develop and expand micro-monitoring solutions in poultry through the ScreenFloX service. The partnership aims to drive innovation in pathogen surveillance, disease prevention and animal care for veterinary clients and animal production. ScreenFloX combines Indical’s veterinary diagnostic capabilities with Evonik’s Precision Livestock Farming portfolio to provide analysis of the herd’s pathogen status and greater control over any actions required.
Hatchery Verbeek’s Broederij installs second Seleggt machine
Dutch hatchery Verbeek Broderig and German Respeggt The group has been working together since October 2021, and the first Selegt A circular machine for determining the sex of eggs has been installed at the hatchery in Zeewold. The Seleggt technology was used in full to hatching chicks using Novogen genetics and other “Free of Chick Culling” genetics. Aviagen partners with PAACO to enrich training for welfare auditors

Noble Foods’ Carbon Neutral Organic Brand
The fastest growing brand in Noble Foods a file, purely organic, became the first UK organic egg brand to receive Carbon Neutral certification from the Carbon Trust. During the one-year project approval, the Carbon Fund evaluated the CO2 emissions from each of the 13 purely organic farms, including the entire supply chain – from breeding harvesting to disposal of pulp packaging by the consumer. Each farm was given a unique carbon footprint compiled by measuring the consumption of various components, including feed, fuel, and transportation. The total carbon collected was offset by harnessing the use of wind energy. In a company-wide effort to further reduce its carbon footprint, Noble Foods is also experimenting with alternative feed sources, including pulses grown locally on UK farms.

As part of the agreement, Tyson Foods and Development have committed to investing to expand SFPC’s processing capabilities and will result in a doubling of Tanmia’s production capacity in value-added products.
Zoetis expands its poultry portfolio
